The same heart, a bigger home
Wallingford Wellbeing began with a big idea: to bring a free, inclusive wellbeing festival to the heart of the town. In 2026, that idea came to life at BunkFest.
But what grew from it was bigger than one weekend. Today, Wallingford Wellbeing is becoming a year-round home for our free digital magazine, local practitioner directory, classes, workshops, events, shared knowledge and future festivals.

About Michelle
Michelle Hammond has spent more than thirty years working across health and wellbeing, from leading spas within luxury hotels and resorts and curating workplace wellbeing strategies for organisations including Barclays, to educating health and wellbeing professionals around the world.
Since making Wallingford her home in 2020, she has run her own clinic at The Lodge on Wallingford High Street, practising as an award-winning integrative health specialist, acupuncturist and psychodynamic therapist.
Throughout her career, Michelle kept noticing the same gaps: brilliant local practitioners doing meaningful work, often in isolation, while people living nearby had no idea that their support existed.
She also saw how often wellbeing was reduced to physical health, fitness or self-care, and how easily it could feel expensive, exclusive or created for somebody else.
Wallingford Wellbeing was created to bridge those gaps: to make local support easier to discover, widen the conversation around what wellbeing really means and create more accessible ways for everyone to take part.
It brings local practitioners, useful ideas, shared experiences and community opportunities into one connected place, helping people across Wallingford and the surrounding villages discover more ways to live well, while giving practitioners more opportunities to be seen, contribute and collaborate.
Everything we create is guided by four principles. They are not simply words on a page; they shape who and what we feature, how we communicate and the experiences we work to make possible.
- Community-focusedLocal people, local practitioners, and the places where they meet.
- InclusiveWhoever you are, wherever you start from, there is a way in.
- AccessibleFree to read, free to explore, and priced fairly where there is a cost.
- Evidence-informedResponsible practice, clear information and ideas that stand up to scrutiny.
